Could someone provide me with a step by step instruction to set up my BC296D to receive traffic on the Indiana Safe-T system for the South Bend area?

I'm here a lot
I am not a resident , but I see no response. I hope someone private messages you with a detailed programming explanation. My simplistic take on it would be to:
Select a free bank. Find your "How to program an 800 mHz Trunking System" in the manual. Enter both these freq's in Control Channel Only mode.
*South Bend - 859.7625 , 860.7625
Hit SEARCH . Talkgroups should start popping up.

Thanks for the reply. Isn't it amazing the amount of lookers and only your response with an offer to help. Hopefully there will still be someone that can give the correct proceedure.
I tried putting in the Southbend primary frequency lastnight and got nothing. I've even tried a range scan for trunking systems witin that frequency range and still don't see any signal let alone any traffic.
I guess I'll just keep pushing buttons untill I get tired.
Thanks again.

I will be honest with you. I tried it manually for about three days and had so many struggles. I went online and with advice from this forum purchased Butel's ACR250Pro software and it made programming very easy. So easy that once I understood it using the software I then understood how to do it manually. The manual for the 296 is written very poor and is confusing in places.

Good Luck,

Doug
