Programing BC796d...

I have had this scanner for sometime now. I have programed it in the past but for one reason or another I have cleared all trunked banks. I haven't used it in quite some time now I tried to reprogram it last week everything went well till I tried to download it to the scanner but it wouldn't communicate with my computer. I checked all the settings fine there still nothing. I deleted the software from my computer and tried to reinstall it, it wouldn't download the software. I checked all cable connections but still would not do it. My question can you program this scanner without using a computer and if so does anyone have a link to explain it. Thanks...

The bc-796d is very easy to program yourself just download the manuel very easy i have done many over the years for people.
