Wish I could figure out how to get unitrunker working with my 197 (if it works with it) or something to read the control channel for us.

You can run it from the earphone jack to your mic jack on the computer. Then adjust the recording volume until you see it start decoding.

406.075 is the lowest frequency that you can try as a base and still keep all of the frequencies in range one.

UniTrunker Screen shots

OK, really appreciated the help today, too bad it wasn't successful. Think I did something wrong in UniTrunker as all the freqs it showed were 800 MHz, but the system info and TG id's all matched.

If anyone can please explain to me how I'd use the info to set up the TSYS for my Pro 197 and Pro 96 I'd be very grateful. Please let me know what I did wrong/right in UniTrunker, that was my first time using it.

Again and Again, many thanks for all the help today.

Using the info that you posted, it'll be 406.200 for the base and 12.5 kHz spacing with 380 as the offset.

On Unitrunker, you have to manually set OBT (Other Band Trunking) VHF/UHF systems. I think the default is 800 MHz as most trunking is there. Go to the screen that has the Base, Hi, Lo, & Spacing and input the info that I'm providing. Once you do that, you'll have to fill in the frequencies manually. Here is the info:

Base - 406.20000
Lo - 380
Hi - 759 (Hint: If 759 does not work, then change it to 749)
Spacing - 12.5kHz

406.20000 380
CC 406.60000 412
CC 407.05000 448
407.20000 460
407.21250 461
408.25000 544
408.81250 589
409.01250 605
409.81250 669
410.01250 685
410.21250 701
410.32500 710
410.52500 726
410.81250 749

The red highlighted ones were not listed in UniTrunker. That does not mean that they are not legit, just the if they are, they were not active during the time that you monitored the system.

The 3-digit decimal numbers prove that 406.21875 is not a legit frequency for that system. Once you plug in the info, you should be good to go.

406.21250 381
CC 406.60000 412
CC 407.05000 448
CC 407.20000 460
407.21250 461
408.25000 544
408.81250 589
409.01250 605
409.81250 669
410.01250 685
410.21250 701
410.32500 710
410.52500 726
410.81250 749

Updated with corrections. I meant to put 406.21250 381 instead of 406.20000 380. I also updated 407.20000 as another control channel. More than likely, 406.2125 is also a control channel, but you'll have to keep monitoring to find out.

Special thanks to Rescue161 who spent the last two days trading messages and making it work, thanks to ChrisP for getting me started in the right direction.

We now know the Federal Correctional Complex Butner is using Base of 406.2125 (406.200 also seems to work), Lo-381 (380 also seems to work), Hi-759, and Spacing is 12.5, the control channels change daily, in the past three days they have used 406.60, 407.050, and 407.20.

Some general information on TG ids, 016XX belongs to the Low, 16XXX belongs to the Medium-1 and Camp, 32XXX is used by the Federal Medical Center, 48XXX is for the Medium. TG ending in XXX48 is the control center for the above institutions.

Hope this helps someone out there!
