Your first steps would be to identify where you are (county/state is fine), and what it is you wish to hear. Go up to the blue toolbar under the site title, float your mouse over
Database and use the various pulldowns (and the map) to get your desired results. C'mon back with the URLs.
Doing these things establishes where you are, so folks in your neck of the woods can potentially answer. Alternately there are a few companies that program scanners - for a fee. The big downside is when you want to make changes or restore something - that costs more money.
It would also be helpful to know what it is that got you puzzled. The more specific the better. As a starting point we have this cheat sheet in our wiki (anything in blue is a link)
