I programed my BC246T with a Motorola Type IIi Hybrid system with ARC246 software. I chose Motorola Type 2 800 MHz standard. Is that correct? I saw that the system in question shows a fleetmap but I didn't see one in the system I created in the software. To get the fleetmap for programing you have to choose Type 1 Moto 800. Just wondering if I should leave it at Type 2 or change it to type 1 and set the fleetmap?

Here is the system I am looking at. I do not live close enough to monitor but i do occasionaly go there. I have monitored it before on my BC250D with seemingly no problems programmed as a Type 2 but was wondering if I was missing something if it is programmed incorrectly.

If you want to Track the trunk correctly in the type IIi system you
need to set it up as a Type 1 and set the fleet map.
I found that in the manual I read online. :)

99% of all users in your area are using type II.
Only the 'transit' talkgroups are in that block so if you set it
up as type II you would constanly see talkgroup Id's above 57000
constantly changing even though they were the same people
talking.

Take care
