Is it hard to program a Uniden that has trunking and APCO 25? Are there any pre-programmed lists I can put in one whenever I finally get one that's tailored for West Virginia(or at least the Charleston,Beckley area)? Bear with me as I all I have is older model radio shack scanners that aren't trunked nor APCO 25 LOL I've read some about prebanding as well,so I'm going to have to decide on a scanner that's upgradable as well to handle that, correct? I really wish I heard about this site years ago and would have made better choices when I had bought both scanners I have now.

I think for the first time you should use the software to program them. Once you learn the basic of how these new scanner works then it is easy to do by hand, just takes longer to label them by hand.
