Hi,
I'm looking at programming an XTS3000 Model 3.
I've got a ribless cable for an XTS5000 (I know that I need a RIB box to program a 3000, or so 'they' say, but I've been told many times that a 5000 ribless cable works fine and have seen video evidence to back this up).
Questions:
1. Where can I get hold of the CPS software to program the radio?
2. If somebody has experience in programming one of these handsets please PM me if you are willing to mentor me and give me some pointers.
I've never programmed a radio before, but I am wry technically minded. I know it is said that it can be complicated and don't try if you don't know what you are doing, but I have to start somewhere and I always aim myself high.
Any help would be much appreciated, as always... And assistance specific to Adelaide would be a massive bonus!
