I am setting up systems/groups for my new BC996XT using ARC software and freguences downloaded from RR. Before I transfer the data to the scanner, I was hoping I could get some advice on what I did. I did not change any data downloaded from RR except when it said to use “CSL” (which I assumed meant “Search”) instead of the DP/DPL shown. I also inserted “Search” in any other DP/DPL field that was blank. My first question is – was it OK to do this?
This is what I did for the other fields (based on what was entered in the fields for the preprogramed systems): [Lockout - Off] [ToneL/Out - left blank] [Altenuator – Off] [Mode - Auto] [Priority - Off] [Alert Light – Off] [Alert Pattern – On] [Alert Tone – Off] [Alert Level – left blank] [PC25NAC – left blank] [Number Tag – left blank] [Volume Offset – 0] [Record – Off]
My second question is – are these settings OK or should I be doing something else to start with.
Any help will be appreciated.
