Programming Cable PG-5C Kenwood-271a

Is it possible to make the PG-5C programming cable. How and where would I find how to wire it. or is buying one a better bet. I only found them for 80 dollars or so on ebay. What do you guys think.

The cable is a PG-5D Cable list about $82 but usually can be found around $70 at a ham dealer or on ebay around $40. You can download a memory loader off the kenwood web site. Not very fancy, but will load the memories.
