programming cdm1250 help please!!!!

I am programming a motorola CDM1250 with a ribless cable. I can get the data fine, but when i send it to the radio, after it has been sent, it beeps steadily, is there anything I need to do to put the radio in "program mode" like the Minitors? I am only receiving with this radio!

A steady beep happens if the channel you have selected isn't programmed or has invalid data. You don't need to do anything to put the radio in program mode. If you didn't save the original configuration someone could email you a good one for that model. I have VHF and UHF radios.
