• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

When I go to program EDACS on my Pro96 I mark the little drop menu at the top of the WIN96 to EDACS that I know.

But when I go to program the TGS do I click on the AFS box and enter the AFS code number where I would enter the DEC or HEX?

Is it that simple?

Yes, make sure the box in the top right is set to EDACS, make sure every channel that has a frequency in it is also set to EDACS, and you can use AFS or DEC for EDACS, either will work. Just press what mode you want to use, and enter the info. :)
