I am moving to Tulsa in a few weeks and am working on programming my scanners (SDS 100, BCD436, 2 Unication G4s) ahead of time before my move.
I'm trying to figure out what sites I'd need to program to hear Tulsa City and County and all the neighboring counties on OKWIN.
What all talkgroups come through on the Tulsa site? Would programming sites like Creek, Rogers, Osage even be necessary or is their traffic carried on the Tulsa simulcast site? It looks pretty straight forward at least as what I'm seeing on the Calls platform where Tulsa City and County are carried on the Tulsa site, but I am curious about the suburbs.
As far as public safety goes on the BACRN, I know encryption is used heavily from what I've read. Do I actually need to program the site for the city to in order hear their talkgroups or are all the talkgroups carried on all of the sites? I was planning on programming the City Plex site since it's closest to me, but wasn't sure if I'd still be able to hear traffic from BA, Bixby, Jenks, Glenpool etc.
Anything else I might want to know about scanning Tulsa would be great to know as well!
