programming HELP!

hi all, can any one help me out?? ive gotten my self into a bit of a problem. after waiting for several YEARS, i have recently purchased a second hand xts 3000, however the trouble is i did not think it would be so difficult to find software for it, or get it programmed.... i was wrong! (just my luck). can anybody help me out in locating some or point me in the right direction? it would be GREATLY appreciated. the current version in the radio is an old profile ( i think) R.07- or the like? thanx

It's Motorola.

I think you will have to go through a Motorola dealer to get it programmed. The XTS3000 was a government only radio in Australia, so the software and cable to reprogram it are pretty scarse.

yeah i thought so. though iam trying to avoid them as much as i can (heard they are ridiculously expensive). after cleaning out the bank on getting the radio, programming is going to be a problem ha lol. plus i was really hoping i could program it with some personal recieve channels and have the software there to change it if/ when neccessary. i just really hope someone out there can help me out. thanks for the advice though air490, much appreciated.
