Programming MOT type II

This is my first time programming a trunked system, i'm using a pro-97 and dont know what to put in for hex/dec. I am programming the city of cheyenne, wyoming. I dont know what to put because it gives a dec number (2-3 digits) and also a hex number (3 digits). My programming guide is asking for five digit number. What do I do or how do I gifure this out? I have had people tell me although this is a digital system, it is setup for analog.

Put in the decimal #, which can grow to 5 digits on large systems.

As a side note, if you're trying to enter these by hand, I recommend you instead use software (like Win 97 link --> http://www.starrsoft.com/software/win97/default.asp <--), which will make this task much easier and less error prone.

Or if you want to get an idea of all TG's in use just program the system in trunk mode with the correct trunk sys. setting and then hit search or set your scanner for I.D search depending on model. As a user talks the TGID will pop up and you can either hold on it or resume searching. This allows me to find the seldom used detectives, fugitive apprehension TG's and they never encrypt on the system I listen to. they just use jargon. In fact i have never used TGID scan.
