Programming Pro-106

Hi,

I just got the RadioShack Pro-106 and I am very confused about how to program it. Would you reccomend programming it by hand or by software? What kind of software do you reccomend? I would rather program it by hand but it is difficult.

There are thre packages out for programming the Pro-106. Try them and decide for yourself as they all provide a free trial period. Those software titles are:

ARC500 from http://www.butel.nl
WIN500 from http://www.starrsoft.com
PSREdit500 from http://www.psredit.com (My favorite for some reason )

Software is easier by far as it lets you have a much broader view of what you have in your radio, how it's configured and where it is.

Okay, thanks everyone. Does anyone know what the high and low channels are for Morris County, NJ? I need to know this to program my Pro-106. Also, if there is someone who is an expert in programming the Pro-106, please help me! Thanks!
