Although I have owned scanners for 3 decades, this is my first Uniden made trunking scanner. All of my other trunking scanners are GRE made. Anyway, I assume I will have to enter 1 control channel per bank per system rather being able to enter all the control channels per system in one bank (with an FM channel in between) like on the GRE scanners?

Enter all known control channels, if there are 4, enter those, 5, enter those. If all the systems you want to hear have the same system ID, they can all go in one bank, and be sure to enable the bank to MOT. It's really up to you, depending on what you want to hear. In my state, many people have one bank set up for the state police system, so they can hear whatever zone of the state they are nearest.

Doesn't seem to be working for me. Once it grabs onto a control channel in the same bank, it refuses to let go of it and move on to the next one. I tried entering the control channels one after the other (as you suggested) and also leaving a conventional FM channel between them (like a GRE made scanner). Looks like I'm going to have to do it the hard way and program it in non control channel mode and just enter the voice frequencies for each site and see what happens. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Thanks for your input though.

I've entered in every control channel for a system. Once you enter every control channel, you can then pause on a talk ID and you should be able to see each control channel come up. That is, if there is traffic on the other control channels. I do notice that the screen shows it stopping on one control channel and won't advance, but once a talk ID becomes active, it will then show whichever control channel the ID is on.

One thing I'm having a problem with is in a bank I've set up as primarily a MOT trunking bank, it won't scan a couple of conventional freqs I've programmed (the first is in the first slot (#0)).

Ask in the Indiana Forum.
