Does anyone have a link to videos or step by step instructions on how to program the Pro 197 using the cable. I know how to upload a scan list but when I do, the previous scan list(s) get over written (even when I change the scan list numbers. Thanks!!

Every upload is a complete rewrite. You need a strategy that includes everything in your final upload.

As TES mentioned, anytime you upload anything to the scanner, it completely overwrites everything that was in there.

Download from the scanner into the software first, make your additions and changes there, then write the entire programming back to the scanner.

Save the file from the software to work with next time you need to change something.

Thanks a lot!!

I finally recalled how to do that. It's been over a year since last doing it and well "use it or lose it". This time I will jot down the process - just hope I don't forget where I filed it!!! I appreciate everyone's help!

or...give the new file a different file name (SAVE AS instead of SAVE). I do this for each of the cities and areas we travel to. I have a 'Chicago' file, a 'Phoenix' file, etc.
