Programming problems with BC235XLT

Just purchased a used BC235XLT (my second one) from a friend, to scan Motorola Smartnet Trunk freqs. Cannot seem to program the ID's into the box...keeps coming up error ?? Any suggestions ????

This is a 800 mHz system , right ?
Can you give an example of the talkgroup #'s that you are having a problem with ?
