I live in Morgantown WV and would like to know the base frequency for the trunked system here.

Hi Glenn,

If you are referring to the statewide WVIRP digital trunked system, all of the information (including base/offset) are listed in the RadioReference database. See the following link:

With that said, if you are planning on using a PRO-2051 to monitor it, you cannot. It is a digital P25 system, and your scanner will not decode the digital transmissions. You would need a scanner such as a Radio Shack PRO-96 / 2096, GRE PSR-500 / 600, Uniden BCD396[X]T / BCD996[X]T or possibly one of the previous generation Unidens with an APCO25 card.
