Programming Radio Shack Pro-97

Trying to download talk groups with ARC 300 software. When I choose send it will not let me pick a port. Cable? My cable is not a radio shack brand cable.

Did you install the correct drivers for the cable? The driver should emulate a comport. Also make sure the cable is compatible with the scanner.

this scanner doesn't do digital, only analogue trunking.

I did not. I will also buy a cable (authentic Radio Shack) that doesn’t need an attachment. My scanner is a pro 97 Digital Trunking Scanner so these fixes should work. Not new but works well. Thank you for your help. By the way the software is great.

Per the radio information the PRO 97 will not decode digital trunking

Hi, welcome to the RR forums. Can you please provide the database link to the system you're trying to program so we can determine for sure if your scanner can track it?
