Programming StarCom21 in Uniden Sentinel

Hello,

When programming StarCom21 talkgroups into my SDS100 using Uniden Sentinel, am I required to add the simulcast frequencies too? What exactly does simulcast do and if I program anything with StarCom21 (anywhere in the state) do I just add my county's simulcast frequencies along with the StarCom21 talkgroups in a favorite's list?

When you say put them into the site frequencies, do you mean putting all the simulcast site frequencies closest to my house into the same favorite lists with the starcom talkgroups? I’m in Lake County and put all the frequencies in “Lake County - Simulcast” in all my favorites lists with anything Starcom and it’s working now and I get extremely good reception even from talkgroups far away

You're actually receiving from a SITE, which is near you.

It depends which radios are affiliated with which SITES.

This explains affiliation.

Thanks for that link, I read through affiliation and it makes a lot more sense now regarding sites
