can anyone explain to me how to program talkgroups into the pro-92. Especially EDACS and LTR types. I looked at the manual but hopefully someone can explain it a little better. THANKS

First get Win92 from Don Starr, it is free and you use the same cable (RS# 20-289) for 92/2067/93/2053/95/96/2096. Then just plug in the nubers into the right box and you will be set.

It depends on what cable you have.

If it has a male mono plug on each end, then it is a cloning cable and used only for cloning one scanner to another.

If it has a male mono plug on one end and a 9 pin serial plug on the other, then it might work providing it is this Radio Shack or Scanners Cables.com or BlackBag or GRE. This Radio Shack cable is not for this scanner.

Freqs are in this format: xxx.xxxx.
Make sure they are on the left side of Win92 under freqs.

x-xx-xxx are talkgroup ID format.
Make sure they are on the right side of Win92 under Talkgroups

scanner doesn't recognize them because it doesn't scan that bank
You've said this twice, if not scanning...what is it doing? Did you check LTR for each of the freqs and the bank as well in Win92?
