well it isn't exactly special

It's like saying, I heard you could apply your breaks with a special hydraulic cable. True but what info does that give you.

Many modern scanners allow for programming by computer and partial or real time total control with a virtual scanner displayed on the screen. Do some research for a while and see what all is out there.

No problem man, like anything else there is a learning curve.

Check out the threads and wiki for a while. Once you get the basics you will be good to go. I kind of envy you. I'm burned out after a decade and a half. For me there isn't much local left to chase.

you said you have a pro95. You can buy a cable that will let you program your scanner from your computer using a free software program called WIN95 from www.starrsoft.com. The cable is radio shack model 20-289 and you can't believe how easy it is to program your scanner with the software. The same cable works on the digital Pro96, 2096 and other radio shack models.
