My new hobby. I have Indian River County Florida loaded from Sentinel software but still not sure that I have all options available.
One question, when listening to my SDS200, I get current fire/medic transmissions Only, but online streaming with Broadcastify at the same time, I get Sheriff/Police transmissions at an exact 1 hr. delay, so why are these transmissions not coming from my scanner also??

It could be due to encryption, or also internet connection when they put it on Broadcastify

IRCSO is encrypted. However, as a courtesy, they have partnered with RadioReference to provide an official delayed feed of their dispatch audio to Broadcastify.

Dang, I was aware of the encryption and delay, which I was OK with, just no one mentioned that it would only be transmitted online thru Broadcastify/RR.
Wow, so I have to have both going to get an idea of what's going on around me.
Are there anything else this $700 scanner can be used for, being I've already purchased?? Thanks

You knew it was encrypted, and you still bought a scanner thinking this wouldn't be an issue receiving SO/PD?

Consider yourself lucky that there is a 1 hour delayed feed on Broadcastify. Here in my part of PA, LE is almost all encrypted and there are no agency provided feeds.

Yes, bought knowing encryption/delay here in Vero, Fl. I just thought audio would be available through the scanner also along with other fire/med transmissions. I had also noticed that listening on Broadcastify before purchasing scanner, I was only getting police. I questioned and was informed I would not get all transmissions, that they only broadcast whatever whenever. Also, I'm in another state, city-county half of the year without encryption, so not all bad I guess. At this point I just want to learn more about what I'm doing, being new to this radio scanner as a hobby. Thanks all!
