Proper ac power adapter for Sony ICF 2010

I'm looking to buy an ac adapter for my Sony ICF 2010. I know that is 4.5V and the center tip connector is negative, but my doubt is about the amperage. Some literature and owners suggest .4 , .5 ,or .8 mA but Im worried about the correct OEM amperage to avoid damage. Also in the Sony 2010 service manual don't specify it. Any suggestion about the correct amperage and alternatives to Sony brand???

I checked mine for you. Sony model AC-D3HG DC 4.5V 700mA class 2 center tip negative

Try to get a linear psu rather than a switcher, switchers can make much more noise at rf than linear supplies do.
