Descriptions aren’t developed so much as adopted.
The lazy advent of cute words borrowed/bowdlerized in the computer age is prime example. Sure doesn’t say anything for dweebs of today or the past.
A fresh view on terms isn’t a bad thing. Nor was the suggestion. Got taken down as isn’t surprising due to the thicket grown up around it in the time since; which is fair.
Vocabulary is 1/2 the game. Some terms are central (Mast; not, “Re-purposed White Pine Trunk”).

Greek is said to have 2X the number of words of the modern language with greatest, and recent speculation is that Etruscan had 10X that.

T. Roosevelt pushed for simplified spelling in English (his was terrible). He should have pushed we adopted the metric system.
