Proscan and mobile radio

Has anyone used a scanner to cue Proscan to record but then instead of using the scanner audio you use line audio from a Motorola CDM or XTL in order to have better audio quality?

I'm thinking this could work quite well especially if the scanner and mobile are connected to the same antenna via multicoupler.

Even better, use the Wi-Fi connection of the 536 for recording. No analog conversion from digital transmissions, no ground loop hum, just super clean audio. Digital from transmitter to receiver to recording. You can't get better than that. Some samples here:
