Audio suddenly quit working for ProScan. I have read many threads and tried all suggestions with no luck as well as trying all of the ProScan check items on the URL Audio Setup & Monitor Tab If audio does not want to connect. I am thinking it may be a setting on my router, as under the URL Audio Setup & Monitor Tab the TCP Scanner Port 554 Time Elapsed stays at 00:00:00. I have checked all the Audio Control Tabs and all are set to URL and the URL Setup is not flashing red and shows the proper Scanner URL. I have also ensured the Loopback checkbox is checked under the Monitor & Test Tab. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Power cycle the scanner then after the scanner finishes boot up, hit the Reconnect button and see what happens.

I see TCP Not Connected and UDP Not Connected in red and then the same as before TCP Computer Port, UDP Scanner Port & UDP Computer Port start displaying and the TCP Scanner Port 554 Time Elapsed 00:00:00 doesn't change and no audio.

I don't know if this helps, but your problem is exactly the same as mine.

I'm using ProScan on Windows 11 Pro ARM running in a Parallels VM on my MacBook Pro M3 Max, and I had the exact same problem. I fixed t by changing the network setting to 'bridged mode' instead of 'shared mode.' Bridged mode gets an IP address in the same subnet as the laptop, while shared gets an IP address in a different subnet.

"Shared Network . Select this option to enable the Network Address Translation (NAT) feature for the virtual machine. In this case, your virtual machine will share whatever network connection is currently used by your Mac.

Bridged Network . Select this option to allow the virtual machine to access the local network and Internet through one of the network adapters installed on your Mac. In this case, the virtual machine is treated as a stand-alone computer on the network and should be configured in the same way as a real one. You can choose the physical adapter where the virtual machine adapter will be bridged in the list below the Bridged Network option."

Are you using the LAN for the display/data? If yes, do you see the display in ProScan showing the same as the scanner?
Does the scanner LAN Settings Show IPs show an IP address or 0.0.0.0?
Can you swap out the Ethernet cable?
I've heard recently that a user found out his antivirus software was blocking the connection so he added an exemption to it.

See if these tips helps?

I am using the LAN for Data, the display in ProScan is the same as on the scanner. Both show an IP Address that matches. I have tried two different Ethernet cables. I have disabled all antivirus software, and restarted the computer, scanner and Proscan as well as trying to restart and reconnect through Proscan. I don't know what could have changed. I can still control and see all the information coming from the scanner, just the audio is no longer working. Having no audio issues anywhere else.

I have disabled all antivirus software
I would double and triple check that. I'm saying because I've seen it may take eight times or more.

Go back to the URL Audio box and see if it's the same symptoms as before or if that area is working now and just the loopback box is unchecked.

Having no audio issues anywhere else.
That could be the problem. Do you have any other software connected to the scanner ethernet audio? The RTSP protocol allows only one app to access the scanner audio.

Can you use a packet sniffer like WireShark? That gave me an important clue---no RTSP traffic was flowing anywhere in my network, so I looked at all network options, and found the correct option.

What option would that be so I can pass it along?
I don't see any idication that Bonzai is using Parallels.

True, but it appears to be a network problem to me. WireShark could help diagnose the issue, maybe.

Turning off Windows Defender didn't change a thing. However after digging into a few setting I see were Defender was blocking a portion of ProScan. Once I changed this box, audio resumed. Thanks to everyone for the comments and assistance fixing this issue. Thanks for all your work on this amazing software. Can't wait to try the newly added Waterfall feature.

What box? I am having this same issue. ProScan is recording the scanner audio but I am not hearing it real time.

I don't think it's the same issue since the scanner audio is recording.
To hear the scanner audio in the computer speakers, turn on the loopback, located in the Audio Control -> Monitor & Test tab. Select Recorder for the audio service.
