Have a read about DMR here & TDMA here. In a nutshell a DMR One-Frequency "system" is just that. One frequency divided into two "time slots" so that a single frequency can carry traffic from two separate users. For example: One agency's security may operate on talkgroup-1, slot-1 and maintenance may be on talkgroup-2, slot-2, never switching slots with one another. Other DMR conventional frequencies may only carry voice traffic on one slot and data (no voice) on the opposing slot. Hope this makes sense.

Really depends on the scanner & the system, several factors come into play. Can't speak specifically for your 325p2 (never owned one) but I've owned a few 436hp & 536hp's and an SDS100 all with the DMR upgrade. For the most part they're pretty reliable following voice traffic properly. Every so often there's a hiccup or two when tracking Tier-III trunked systems (very few in my area) but that issue is well documented here on the forums...

thank you do you know often those upgrades are needed?
Once per scanner. Once the digital mode is activated you'll have it for the life of the scanner

Now firmware updates are a different story. This page outlines the versions & issues they addressed

Should I hit yes for this? Thank you everyone for your help!
Click Yes if you have the DMR upgrade and No if you do not.

How can someone do an upgrade to their device?
Before getting the DMR upgrade, look at the system on the RRDB page to see what the systems is and if you really want to listen to that system.

I have the Version 1.09.12 i might already have DMR
As I previously mentioned, DMR requires an upgrade key you need to pay for (unless you bought the scanner used with the mode already activated, this is typically disclosed in the sale). This is all described in the link I provided in Post #8

the firmware version is different than the provoice/DMR upgrade.
Correct. The firmware revisions address known hardware issues. Although the paid upgrades require certain firmware versions at minimum to work they are totally optional. Provoice is an EOL'ed voice mode with fewer systems still in place nationwide compared to DMR or NXDN. Only 32 known active Provoice systems as of this posting. Not worth paying for the upgrade if no interest in monitoring any of these. DMR is by far the most widely used of the 3 paid modes

To better answer your question. These are conventional DMR frequencies. The purpose of creating a DMR One-Freq system is so the TGID will display. If you don't care about the TGID then just hit No.

The best way to learn is to try it and read the manual. I don't know where you are at in the process. Is there a particular area you're having trouble with?
I am talking about the record function in PROSCAN SOFTWARE i went through the whole manual i dont think i saw anything with RECORDING frequencies
