I just opened up ProScan and was prompted to download the new version (12.9) which included NXDN support. Uploaded my 536HP and there it is...all my NXDN programming. Sentinel not far behind?
I forgot I had the ProScan free trail months ago on my computer was thinking getting the paid version looks like the same setup as Sentinel.
What is the difference from ProScan to Sentinel?
Thanks guys for providing support. In addition to Sanscanman post. Sentinel is required to edit the profile and update the master HPDB(Database) files.
ProScan doesn't have a profile editor as I thought that would be a duplicate effort and not much to add in that area however the Favorites Editor is a different game. Here is what ProScan can do that I believe Sentinel can't.
I'm sure I missed a few things but this is off the top of my head.
- Multiple Favorites on the same tree which makes it easy to copy & paste or drag & drop systems.
- Find Duplicates
- Find & Replace
- Import from RRDB directly
- Import Win Clipboard
- Import from Sentinel
- Versatile Sorting options
- Google Maps showing all the systems on a web page
- Export Nicely formatted web page showing any or all (user selectable) the FQK's, SQK's, Number Tags, and systems
- Copy & Paste and Drag & Drop nodes to other systems and other ProScan instances
- Multiple Favorites on the same tree which makes it easy to copy & paste or drag & drop systems.
- Import from RRDB directly {edit} RR subscription required
- Import from Sentinel {edit} Sentinel may do it too.
Tried it and Liked it. Really like the virtual player too. Just Bought It to add to ARC & Sentinel. Seems like they all have their separate pros & cons.
Thanks for the compliments. What's the con to see if something needs improvement?
You mean like if a Fire Dispatch, Fire Tac or Fire*(wildcard) channel is active then the activity border(or light) around the display changes to a user selectable color or something else?Easier way to assign colors depending on service type
Each Favorites list can be renamed now. At the Favorites level, click the Favorite Options and rename it.the ability to save named favorite lists

Are you talking about the Alert Color and Slow or Fast Blink? I'll put it on the list. I think this is more of a suggestion then a con.Not in the software but when downloading from RR
The Favorites List are in the file "f_list.cfg" They are named exactly like in the Favorites Editor (which can be renamed) and in the scanner. One of the objectives of ProScan is to follow the scanner database structure exactly. In line with that, I will keep it the way it is now. When saving the favorite list to the hard drive
