If you are running ProScan on your Mac using Parallels and are able to connect to the virtual scanner but cannot connect to the audio feed, the solution is to change Parallels to use the "bridged network" setting. By default, Parallels uses the "Shared Network" setting. My understanding of this change is that it issues the VM its own IP address unique from the host Mac it is running on. Once making this change and rebooting the VM, I was able to successfully receive audio. I hope this help someone.
