I have a feature request for Proscan that I think will assist in logging and identifying unknown and rare talkgroups and UIDs.
I would like to see if you could add an additional type of recording on Proscan's existing recording tab.
It could be a radio button labeled "triggered recording".
Under this could be a dialog box that would allow a user enter a list of UIDs and GIDs, that if matched would trigger a recording of the matched transmission.
You could have a list like UID=123, GID=12342, UID=10-999, GID=40000-42000
The list could be comma delimited list of single UDIs/GIDs, a range or a mix of both.
I have number of GIDs and UIDs that I have only see appear a few times on a large system. If I could hear recordings of these rare transmissions then I could figure out what they are and label them correctly.
This type of triggered recording could help identify unknown talkgroups and UIDs and enhance the recording and logging of trunked systems.
