I'm finally getting my bc15x setup and was wondering how do i run this along with my 780xlt on one computer? I would like to be able to get the audio recorded from both radios. Do i have to get a second audio card for my laptop? I currently have the 780xlt running on proscan without any problems. I would like to split up the freqs in it and put half in my bc15x. Did some searching around but not much luck. Thanks

You will indeed need a second sound card to set-up each scanner with Proscan the way you intend. If the laptop is the the PC you want to use for both scanners, then you can add an external USB sound card. One scanner would run through that and the other through the internal on-board sound card.

Thanks - Mike

You can add a Second, Third and if you have a USB port, Fourth audio card to your laptop.. Look on Ebay for the USB audio adapters.. They are about $2.00 with shipping..They plug into the USB ports and have In and Output jacks on them.. They work great !!

Instead of adding another sound card your could make the sound stereo and use the left for 1 scanner and the right for the other.

You would need a 1/8 stereo cable to RCA then add to adapters to make the RCA connectors mono 1/8.

Plug the stereo 1/8 in the sound card and the the 2 ends into each scanner.

Another way and the way I prefer is the same as above except change the audio mode to Mono.
