This morning I was getting a NXDN 4800 baud control channel on 453.7375 that appears to be SE of Wichita Falls. It might be WQPY644 (PROSPER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT) FCC Callsign Details which is not in the database.
I've been picking this up again a few times recently.
DSD+ shows NEXEDGE48 RAN 1 Category=Local System=251 Site=1 Voice Data ShortData Status&RemCtl
There are no licenses in Oklahoma on 453.7375. I recevie it when I'm getting other stuff around Ardmore and Gainesville.

I have a contact in Prosper ISD. I'll try to reach out to them and check the status of that TRS. Looks like it's a Nexedge system?

Prosper is a long ways away from where you are... I will be impressed with your setup if that's what you're getting. Do you receive other systems from north Dallas? I'm sure this will be figured out by then, but, if not, I'll scan it on Memorial Day weekend.

I hear stuff all over N TX and SW OK using only indoor antennas but not all the time. The troposphere does all the work.

Even in UHF? Guess I need to read up on propagation.

Yep. Tropo openings can be better on UHF, 700, 800 and 900 MHz than on VHF. That isn't unusual. I have picked up 7/8/900 MHz trunked sites in the panhandle and near Houston and Austin from here with indoor yagi antennas and a PRO-2006 with Unitrunker or DSD+.

Most of the tropo openings have weak signals that Unitrunker will barely decode. I can put the BCD396T on the same antenna and often it won't receive anything at all. Uniden is famous for poor sensitivity. I don't know if modern Whistler/RS scanners receive as good as a PRO-2006.

Next to a scanner...
I was in the area the other day and came up with the same conclusion - likely Prosper ISD. I didn't hear any traffic on the system, but just based on signal strength while driving through it's very close to Prosper. I logged 453.6375, RAN1/Site1, LCN3, SYS 251, NE48

It looks like other frequencies could be 453.1875, 453.3875 and your confirmed 453.7375

That double T avatar looks very similar to the one on my tailgate.

Look at the 940 repeater in Denton. That thing almost has better coverage into Oklahoma than it does North Texas and a lot of that is LOS coverage.
