I'm trying to learn more about this tiny two channel system located in the greater DFW metro area.

Anyone know who the vendor was?

It isn't Motorola and doesn't appear to be networked to anything.

It seems to me they would have done better using the two freqs as P25 conventional rather than trunked.

yes. Perhaps they wanted some of the paging / data services offered by control channel. Haven't seen any.

But they still hate it. Maybe I heard it was similar to Motorola Omni-Link Autonomous trunking. can't remember ....
