Talked with head of security and he stated that they switched to UHF for interpolerity. He gave me the freq. but I have misplaced it since.

The only licenses I see for the hospital are entered as "Sisters of Charity / Providence Hospital."

The high band security and paging license is still in place, and it hasn't been very long since the last time I caught their dispatch announcing the helicopter arriving from a transport.

Besides the high band license, there are three IG licenses. Two of them apply to low power UHF equipment - possibly telemetry-related.

The third license is for a repeater on 461.875 MHz. That might be what you're looking for, although it was issued in May, 2003.

3824 was the primary Palmetto 800 TG for MUSC MeduCare Helicopter. I am not too sure about the new TG in the 50's. When I was living there there were three air med helo TG's the Palmetto CarForce, MeduCare, and some other one, that I can't remember at this time. I do know that any of the helos operating on the Palmetto 800 could and did switch to iether EMS, or VFD/FD fireground, or primary ops TG's, and also had VHF Hi band and could use that to talk to on scene agencies. They were using the VHF/UHF to talk to some hospitals ER's but in the Charleston area, they switched to the Chas Co. TRS MED TG's for ER talk. The only changes I know of are that the TG for Roper North are not used since that branch closed, and Roper only has two operating hospitals now, Downtown, and Northwoods (which is a advanced clinic). Andddd the only TG I NEVER heard used was the Navy Hospital in North Charleston. The Chas Co. TRS underwent a big time changeover while I was living there, a lot of TG's changed usage, or were abandoned, and new ones popped up. A lot of these changes I submitted to both here when it was still the TRS DB, and to brian's personal site. Ex: The old Folly Beach primary TG which was used for both Fire and Police, became the FD ops, and a new one just for PD ops came into use. And I would consider all of the VFD night TG's as dead. I do know of three other TG's that are in use for Federal agencies in the Low Country, but all three are encrypted, so really what is the use of posting them?

The times I've heard 3824, it was in use by transport ambulances. The talkgroup is very active in the Georgetown area, and I know that Meducare has a location in Georgetown. I have heard the Meducare Helo on 50928. I don't have a lot of opportunities to monitor either talkgroup for strong evidence, but I'm wondering if 50928 is used by Meducare Helo and 3824 by Meducare ground units?
Here's a link to their website: http://www.musc.edu/meducare/

Hmm in that case: I think we can safely assume that 3824 is now the MedUCare tactical/ground ops, and the 50 one is now primary. Changes keep rolling. :)
