Question I have.

I am wondering if I get a MA/Com Radio with Provoice and programmed turn off transmit will i be able to carry it around?

I want to know is it illegal to build a website on my server to run a non stop feed of the audio?

Would you think people in OKC that cant hear the transmission pay a monthly charge to access the data.


Any Info would be appreciated thanks!

IMHO if you were doing it for money the powers that be would for sure try to nail you; besides you could only stream a limited amount with one radio, so when things are busy you would miss most of it.

Legally you could carry it around, but why ask for trouble?

If I had a spare 3500 dollars laying around, I think I could find something better to do with it. Streaming any encrypted comms is not a good idea. Thayne is correct that you would need more than one radio to stream the divisions without missing anything. All in all...not worth it.

You'd probably piss them off enough by streaming.. they would encrypt EVERYTHING!

Not worth the money.. the time and effort.

Program the 4 vhf repeaters in your scanner.. and stream that!

Yes.. last time I checked.. someone has already done that. okc scanner.com or something like that.. You obviously won't be able to stream okc fire... due to the fact they are on provoice only.

As far as fire goes.. the only other thing I can think to do.. as far as streaming their radio traffic.. is chase fire trucks.. carry a laptop with net access around.. and hold a mic up to their radios! They might get a little mad.. but at least you can hear what's going on! I do not recommend it!

I will be getting 2 Jaguar 700P from PRICE late this month

which they will program for me

I was looking to stream the feeds. So I will be able to hear them.

Wondered if anyone knew the ramifications to doing this.

Make sure those Jaguars have Option 29 enabled! It would be a little useless to have them otherwise...
