If Uniden is going to do this for Provoice When will they also do this for Motorola TBRO?
Is the encryption treated the same way as P25 encryption - immediately skip the channel?
Yes correct, If it's encrypted it will either stop on the talk group channel or it'll skip the channel.
Hey, I just noticed that on my 436 now, on conventional channels at least, backlight set to 'squelch' stays lit during the delay time as well! Hooray!![]()
Interesting mine has always done that
Um, I'm a little confused by that. When an encrypted P25 signal is received, the radio resumes scanning immediately. What does the radio do when an encrypted PRV signal is received?
Edit: mitbr sorted me out, thanks.
Are you sure it hasn't turned the light out immediately as soon as the transmission is over? That's how mine has behaved, and everyone has been clamoring for that to be "fixed" for ages.
Yep...Looks like they did it right this time...
Thanks Kevin! I got it worked finally some how it wouldn't accept 0FF but it works now. Do I download the Provoice thru the Sentinel?
I gotta ask, and I know this is going to tick off the haters...
Was it worth the 4 day "delay"???![]()
Were you entering zero-FF and not Oh-FF?

It's fixed in the new firmware... Update it...
Thanks, Randy, but I can't use and don't need the full ProVoice firmware update.
All I want to do is to fix the backlight problem that was introduced in firmware version 1.09.

Same here. I have no PV within 200 miles of me but I am happy for you who do have such systems. I also appreciate the new features that apply to nearly everyone even though I doubt I will use any of them.
More than anything, I'm glad to see Uniden back to releasing feature-rich updates although I know there are some features some still want.
