Rotate the scroll knob to input the characters, same as you would a text tag.

The 436 has a new Firmware update to 1:11:15; After you perform the update you can see if you go to Settings and upgrade you will get a choice for both ProVoice and now DMR both of them you'll have to pay for to updgrade if you do pay for the upgrade and get a serial number to put in REMEMBER it must be done using the dial knob at the top NOT THE KEYPAD.

Hello there,
can someone tell me what am i doing wrong? trying to get DMR and Provoice upgrade , when asked for ESN one line is for 9 digits second one for check sum , when i enter my information's i get this

"Check Sum passes. in Please go back by clicking your back button and enter a valid 8 digit serial number using integers.

You must enter 8 digits and only 8 digits for the scanner's Serial Number."

The serial # should be the last 8 digits on the back of the radio under the bar code.

But the form is specifically asking for 9 digit serial nr. Where 37526 is already pre filled and what's left empty is exactly 9 digits
