Speaking of undercover;

Any of you Peel-ites know what the new Peel Gangs and Guns Taskforce use for radios? Saw them last week and they had XTS5000 portables and were digital (from the sound I over-heard). I was thinking Peel-Tac maybe?

PRP are updating all portables to XTS radios some 2500 and 5000 think that should be complete by Mid 2009... Fire is already their now with XTS and XTL's in the trucks... Not sure of Caledon Fire though....

According to the RR Wiki, the Peel System is supposed to be rebanding as well.

Industry Canada and the FCC have recently adopted a plan for re-banding along the US/Canada border - within a couple of years (2013 was the timeline I saw), everyone will be subject to re-banding.
