Stealing cars, setting them on fire, leading troopers on a high speed chase and taking a picture of himself on a stolen cell phone and then posting it on his victim's Facebook page. These are all things one teenager is accused of doing that has led to a multi-county investigation and arrest.
State Police arrested18 year old Tommy Workman Junior in Lincoln County Thursday morning. Troopers say he stole several cars over the course of the last two months. The latest alleged theft was Wednesday night in Alum Creek. Troopers say they saw him driving that stolen car and tried to pull him over, but instead he led them on a chase through three counties and eventually got away. Troopers found him Thursday morning and arrested him.
In November, Charleston Police say he was caught on camera, stealing two cars from the Speedway on Green Road in South Ridge.
We're told he would then take the cars to a side road and set them on fire. In the first incident, police say Workman used the cellphone of one of his victim's to take a picture of himself and post it to her Facebook page, taking the "who done it" out of the equation.
Workman Junior faces a slew of charges including arson and grand larceny. He says drugs made him do it, and that people shouldn't leave their keys in their cars.
