Can anyone confirm that the control channel I'm hearing on 859.7125 in Tulsa is the DPS site in Pryor? It's pinging at 80% - 95% at 244 & Yale. The ID says Sys-092C and as far as I know, that makes it a DPS site. But if I can't hear so much as a scratch from Okmulgee, Brisow or Muskogee, this signal seems too strong to be all the way from Pryor.

Also, when are se suppose to see some TGs from Troop L?

It is HIGHLY likely that you are hearing that site. I was able to hear it almost all of the way to the border of Ark on the 412 using a trunk mounted 2 Mtr 5/8 wave on a handheld Pro-97. The coverage is excellent. I could hear it in Tulsa a well when I went up around Christmas. Seems as though I started picking it up well before the 412/I-44 split there east of town.

Pryor reception from Skiatook

I entered the Control Channel freq into my 785 with a RS 800 duckie the other night just for grins; I can make out the CC, but it has too much static to track it.

So has anyone actually heard ANYTHING on the Pryor site? I know the control channel is up and running strong. My scanner has been locking and monitoring it since it came online, but I still have not heard ANY communications.

Maybe it's not linked into the rest of the DPS system yet? Is there anyway to know?

I don't think it is. If it is it might not be active so that they can finish something with the site. Baker's Peak is in the same state of operation apparently. Stillwater was too until it became active a couple weeks ago.

I'm sure that they rushed the construction to make the buildout deadline for the special frequency grants they got. If it is transmitting then it is functioning in accordance with the finish of construction and linking does not matter. Since they are working on what seems like one site at a time I would assume that they are working their way around to getting them all linked.
