Having an issue with what appears to be a birdie on 127.500. Has anyone else experienced this with their PSR-310?

Hate to ask, but if it is a birdie, does it still stop on that frequency when the antenna is not connected?

Yes sir.
The only oddity is that is sounds more like a weak carrier than a full-quieting one, which many birdies do.

Does it continue if you apply attentuation to it?

Well now...the weirdness continues.
With the antenna disconnected, I turn attenuation on and the RSSI increases
(with no other traffic present on that freq.)
I tried the same on other freqs and do not get the same result.
