Well, there's the prerequisite... We should probably come up with a "reasonable answer" before GRE can be expected to change it
Showing the VC frequency, at least, has a definite usefulness... it's a value that is NOT programmed by the user and which can be used to "map out" a system (e.g. figuring out what frequencies are used by the system, debugging "badly programmed bandplans", etc.).
The numeric TGID, though, has
already been programmed by the user... he knows it, and he explicitly assigned an alpha tag to it. If he wanted the numeric ID, he would've (I'd guess) included it in the alpha tag.
Personally, I can't really think of a good reason to show that numeric ID value once the user has already explicitly programmed a "replacement" alpha tag.
