I have debated on whether to post this in the 500 sticky or make a new thread, the new thread won just so this doesn't get lost in the near 1000 posts in the sticky.
I am having an 'interesting' occurrence with my 500. Every so often, whether on battery or plugged in to the charger the radio will display the 'battery low' warning screen. Not the flashing icon or the beeps indicating the batteries should be charged, but that final everything stops full display screen warning.
On at least one occasion this occured right after disconnected the USB cable. Other times seem to be when the radio is making a transition, like after a system upload of new data or just moving the scanner while it is plugged into the charger.
I am curious if anyone else has had this happen on a fairly recurring basis. As you can tell, it has happened to me more than once, but until today, not often enough to really be concerned or to remember the exact circumstances. Today, it happened twice while hooked up to the computer to feed PRO96COM for a while. Once while hooking things up and the second time just sitting there.
