PSR-500 EDACS help pls.

First, I'm a dummy re: programming. But, thought I successfully entered the NY-NJ Port Authority trunked system on the '500. It seemed o.k. Was getting various xmissions.

Then, without doing anything, it was scanning, but not trunked. nothing heard. Hitting manual button, I get:
" TS-0000 ED Std 1."

When I hid the lower portion of the multi-sel. switch, I get: "01-0004 TGRP WILDCARD." Same thing w/RS = 20-197.

Did I do something wrong? Did our lightning storm knock out something on their end? Using indoor antenna , btw. on the base unit.

Confused here. Any help welcome. Thnx!

Please ignore original message. Magically, Port Authority trunking resumed working earlier (on base and portable). Again, without doing anything. Maybe they had a problem.
