It's been working great , but the other day when I turned it on it went into rapid scan mode and beeps about every second .I can't reset it. any suggestions other then sending it for repair. thanks.

You might try reloading the firmware, if it's possible in that condition. I had a problem with my 500 after about two weeks of use but I had to send in for a replacement.

I had my scanner do the same thing a day ago. I turned on and off but same results. I took the batteries out and replaced and finally it returned to normal after 5 tries. I dont know what happend. btw the scanner was plugged in using factory tranformer.
