My psr-500 red led light went out on me several weeks ago so I took it apart, added some solder to the surface mount red led. It worked awesome again since, but now it has went out. I took it apart, added solder to the green and blue leds and re-solidified the red while I was at it. It started working great again, but a few hours later the red went out again.

Any ideas on what to do next and why it keeps failing? Thanks!

Does anyone know anything on this? I'm up for any ideas to try. Sometimes the red will randomly come back and then it'll stop working again. Blue and green work great.

Strange... Typically, I would think once an LED stops working it would not start working again so it may not be the LED. Possibly, it is the trace(s) on/in the circuit board. Does it start/stop working when you press on the circuit board near where the LED is installed or when you very gently pull on or press in the LED?

Possibly the circuit that runs the LED is going out?

Well if I press down on on the led light with some pressure it comes on and then fizzles out when I let go. This is when the scanner case is open of course. I looked at the serial number and its a number 1588 so it must be from the batch that had connection issues.
