I downloaded new soft/firmware. I stupidly enabled the password function and now I don't know how to disable it, can anyone offer me some assistance?
Option 1:
a. Enter the password you programmed when you "enabled the password function"
b. Go to the GLOB menu (PGM F3), scroll to the "Set password" item, hit SEL, select "YES", then select "OK".
That will reset the password to "0000", which means "none".
Option 2:
a. Turn the scanner OFF
b. Turn the scanner ON
c. While the "welcome message" is displayed, press 0 then 1, then press ENT to confirm that you want to erase all memory.
That will reset EVERYTHING, including the password (as well as all of your other programming)
