PSR-500- new to chat - need to KNOW????

Hi, I am new to this site and have a couple of questions. I got a PSR-500 for Christmas and a lot of the frequencies were already entered when I received it.
I'm now trying to add some other frequencies and learning to program, but can't seem to get the scanner to stop doing service search. How do I stop the service search.

Someone has probably created a 'service search object' and it is in one or more of your active scanlists. You can go to manual mode and step through each entry in each bank (up/down arrows step through entries in a given scanlist, left/right arrows step through the scanlists) and look for one. I just played with mine, and the top line has 'SR-A' in it (I presume the 'A' will be different for type of service, mine was aircraft) and the bottom line just has SRCH above F1.

If you find an entry like that anywhere, edit it and disable the scanlists if you want to keep the object, or FUNC -> CL to delete the object entirely.
